In it's 12 year history, the race has never been cancelled and has only been postponed once.
Packet Pickup / Late Registration: Will be held Saturday (1/6/18) inside the old visitor's center at Prickett's Fort. The old visitor's center is located in the lower parking lot.
Race Day Registration: Open at 11:30am at the Fort on race day

Refreshments: Chili & the usual refreshments will be at the Fort's old visitor's center following the race.
Water Stops / Aid Stations: 5 water stops.
Bathrooms in the building next to the new visitor's center will still be available.
More bathrooms in the lower parking lot.
One porta potty near the 7 & 11 mile marks.
Course Description: Race Map - Double out & back course. 1% grade. Starting on the paved Mcparc Trail running through the Meredith tunnel and back to Prickett's Fort. The first section is blacktop & is about 4.2 miles in length. The second section will be run on the Mon River Trail which is crushed limestone & the race will finish on ths trail. USATF sanctioned.

Walkers: Walkers are welcome. 4 hour time limit (food still available right up to 6pm)
Directions To Start/Finish: 3 miles from I-79, exit 139.
Follow the signs to Prickett's Fort State Park.
Expected Field Size: 400
Sponsors: All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers of Marion County, a United Way agency. LVMC provides free tutoring to adults & children in basic reading, math, ESL (English as a second language), GED preparation & related subjects. LVMC is affiliated with Literacy West Virginia.
